By downloading or using GigTracker ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

GigTracker is a personal finance tracking tool for gig economy workers. You may use it to track your earnings, expenses, mileage, and estimated taxes for personal and business purposes.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. The App performs calculations based on your inputs — we do not guarantee the accuracy of tax estimates, earnings calculations, or any financial figures.

2. Not Financial or Tax Advice

GigTracker is not a substitute for professional tax, financial, or legal advice.

Tax reports and quarterly estimates are rough estimates for reference only.
Tax rules vary by jurisdiction and change frequently. Always consult a qualified tax professional for actual filing.
Minimum wage calculations (e.g., Ontario DPWRA, California Prop 22) are estimates based on publicly available rates and may not reflect your specific situation.

3. Subscriptions & Purchases

Free tier provides core tracking features with banner advertisements.
Pro Annual ($9.99/year) and Pro Lifetime ($29.99) remove ads and unlock tax reports and Excel features.
Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Renewal, cancellation, and refund policies are governed by the respective store.
To cancel a subscription, manage it through your device's App Store or Play Store settings.

4. Your Data

All data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up your data. If you lose your device or delete the app without backing up, your data cannot be recovered by us.

5. GPS & Location

The App offers optional GPS mileage tracking. When enabled, your device records location data locally to calculate trip distances. This feature requires your explicit permission and can be disabled at any time in the App or your device settings.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code, and content are owned by agoyal.dev. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App.

Platform names (Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, etc.) are trademarks of their respective owners. GigTracker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any gig platform.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. GPS accuracy depends on your device hardware and environmental conditions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, agoyal.dev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including but not limited to incorrect tax calculations, lost data, or missed earnings.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
