Privacy Policy

GigTracker ("the App") is developed and operated by agoyal.dev ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Data We Collect
Short version: Almost nothing leaves your device.
- Ride & expense data — Stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. We never upload, transmit, or access this data.
- Location data — When you enable GPS mileage tracking, your device records GPS coordinates locally to calculate trip distance. Location data is never sent to our servers or any third party. It stays on your device.
- Settings & preferences — Stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. Not transmitted anywhere.
- Purchase information — If you purchase GigTracker Pro, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We use RevenueCat to verify your purchase status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID — no personal information.
2. Third-Party Services
- Google AdMob — Free users see banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data per Google's privacy policy. Pro users see no ads, and no ad-related data is collected.
- RevenueCat — Manages in-app purchase verification. Receives an anonymous user ID and purchase receipts from Apple/Google. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Apple / Google — App Store and Play Store handle payment processing. We do not see your payment details.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers.
- We do not require account creation or login.
- We do not have analytics or tracking SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, no Mixpanel, etc.).
- We do not sell, share, or rent any user data.
4. Data Storage & Security
All your data is stored locally on your device. If you use the backup feature, you choose where to save the file (e.g., iCloud Drive, Google Drive, local storage). We never access backup files.
If you delete the app, all local data is permanently deleted.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
6. Your Rights
Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to request deletion of. Your data lives on your device and you control it entirely.
To remove all data: delete the app, or use the Backup & Restore section in Settings to export your data first.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
